About Us

Eye Doctors at Ophthalmology Associates of WNY

We’ve been Western New York’s trusted eye care team since 1970.

Families across the Buffalo area have trusted Ophthalmology Associates of Western New York with their eye care for over 50 years. We are proud to utilize the latest technology alongside our compassionate care to ensure the best results and most comfortable experience for our patients. It remains our mission to help you live your fullest life by achieving your best, healthiest vision.

Our practice was originally founded in 1970 by Dr. Louis Antonucci after he finished his residency in ophthalmology. Upon completing a fellowship in glaucoma at the University of Toronto, Dr. Charles Niles joined the practice in 1988, allowing us to treat more patients suffering from glaucoma alongside our comprehensive eye care services.

Dr. Antonucci retired in December 2019, but with his hard work and the dedication of our team, our practice is still strong and growing, with five doctors providing quality, compassionate care for patients of all ages.

Specialized care to achieve your best vision.

Our doctors specialize in providing treatments for a variety of eye conditions. We perform laser-assisted cataract surgery, treatment and surgery for glaucoma, and care for a variety of retinal disorders, such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

In addition, Dr. Joseph Berardi provides the latest blade-free LASIK services for our patients.
